How is it April?


Monday
Nothing too interesting happened today. Got wawa, played basketball and got groceries. I only bought chicken and vegetables, momma would be so proud. Made some chicken tacos, played some guitar.

Tuesday
Went on exchanges with the zone leaders today, not much changed because I live with them but hanging out with elder Gines was fun. I got to get some flashbacks to my Lehighton days because we cleaned out a hoarder house. The lady gave us some stale tuna sandwiches as payment so it was worth it. Elder Gines was also born in Lehighton so we got to exchange hoarder stories all day. Once dinner rolled around we had a member meal and it was with a dominican lady. We had dominican spaghetti and rice, it was so good.

Wednesday
We were knocking today and I found a door in this apartment complex that was left unlocked. We walked in and it was so run down and old, big old holes in the floors and doors that went to nowhere, it was such a maze but we found the member we were trying to stop by and he gave us a doughnut. On the drive to our member meal a dude called us and said he wanted to be baptized so that was the coolest thing ever. 

Thursday
Nothing too crazy today, had some lessons and ate chicken and rice.

Friday
Bought a cheesecake, met some characters.

Saturday
I love general conference. Watched the first session at a members house and the second session at our apartment. Ended the night with basketball at the church with some of our friends. Holy cow black people and dominicans cook me in basketball.

Sunday
More conference! Watched the first session with a member and then they fed us porkchops. Ate too much and then went to watch the second session and all four of us slept through the first half. After that we pulled up to another members house to pick up dinner. I love soul food.

Crazy guy of the week
Nothing too crazy but on thursday we met character after character. We asked this guy if he wants to come to church and he said "nah but look at this" and then showed us all the clothes he was buying and wanted our opinions on them. Then like twenty minutes later the same thing happened but with this dominican dude who didn't speak any english. We asked him to church and then he just gave us his phone and showed us videos of him playing the guitar. He was nice with it too. The last character we met was this dude who found out I was from Utah and then he sat and talked about skinwalkers and UFOs for half an hour.

Been a good week, it's getting warmer finally love you all elder monroe out

Finally in the Field 9/22/25

Whats up everyone, this last week has been crazy. I wrapped stuff up at the mtc and now I'm finally in the field. The MTC Being able to leave the third member of the trio and not have to be someones mom anymore was amazing, however saying goodbye to everyone else sucked. I made a lot of new friends at the MTC and I'm gonna miss them, shoutout to the boys in district 20 N, the boys in room 121 and especially my old comp Elder Carter.  There were like 25 kids going from the MTC to Philly so we definetly got some weird looks while we were at the airport. We had a bunch of delays so we didn't get to Philly until pretty late. Despite that they still loaded everyone into some vans and drove us to the mission home to meet the Mission President. Brother and sister Corbridge were super welcoming and kind. After they gave us dinner we loaded back up and slept in a hotel. New transfer 7/13/26

Been a good week, did some stuff. Monday Last P day of the transfer and we spent it with the other elders in the district. Went to Valley Forge and saw George Washington's house and church. Went to mission BBQ and this lady named Ellie who always gives us free food said goodbye to the Elders that were leaving. Went to the mall and bought a hat. Tuesday First day of the new transfer. We were late to transfers because Elder Hillam didn't start packing until this morning. Picked up my new comp Elder Gosman. Ate a cheesesteak. Wednesday Lead district council with my fly down the whole time. Some might say I'm a visible leader  Thursday Had a lady flirt with us pretty hard at a McDonalds but nothing really happened today. Friday Nothing too crazy happened today either. The bishop fed us pizza though. Saturday Taught the whole day it was awesome. We just went from lesson to lesson nonstop.
